The Absolut Company at Le Méridien in Paris
In the early 2010s, we loaded our trailers and headed to Paris with our client Occasion to deliver technology and set design for a high-end conference in central Paris. Our brief was to transform a classic ballroom at the historic Le Méridien Etoile into an event environment tailored to The Absolut Company's visual identity. The solution was to build a room within a room – fabric-covered walls enclosing a large tiered seating area where guests sat at round tables. The stage wall was a seamless surface combining illuminated stretch fabric, LED screen and rear-projected video.
The stage deck was built on traditional stage platforms with a custom-fabricated curved front and recessed stairs that gave the whole structure an almost floating quality. The stage surface was white plastic flooring finished with a custom vinyl wrap.
A solution that reads as simple but is built on a lot of considered detail.
