Studios at Quality Hotel™ Strawberry Arena and Scandic Infra City
During 2020–2021 we had successful collaborations with Quality Hotel™ Strawberry Arena and Scandic Infra City where we established studios in their respective event venues. These studios have since been decommissioned and the event venues have returned to traditional events and meetings. What is the difference between a permanent studio and a mobile studio solution?
A permanent studio is a fixed installation in a premises – technology, lighting, set design and furniture are installed for long-term use and optimised for recurring productions. A mobile studio solution is a packaged concept that EDGE rigs in an event venue or the client's own premises for a specific production and then demounts. Mobile solutions are ideal for regular but not daily productions.
Can you establish a permanent studio in our own premises?
Yes. EDGE plans and establishes studio installations directly in the client's premises. We help design a stylish and functional set design and select the right technical equipment for your needs. The studio can then be operated by your own staff, or EDGE's technicians can assist with the broadcasts.
What technical equipment is included in a mobile studio solution?
A mobile studio solution from EDGE includes cameras, video mixers, media servers, streaming equipment, LED soft panels, microphones and mixing consoles. Everything is packaged with a matching set design, studio furniture and props – for a complete professional studio environment that can be rigged and struck efficiently.
Can you deliver green screen lighting for the studio?
Yes. Our lighting department has fixtures and experience in green screen lighting – a demanding task requiring even, shadow-free illumination of the screen and separately managed subject lighting. We have LED soft panels, spotlights and specialist studio fixtures, and know which combinations produce the best results for camera and post-production.
Can you design and produce a set design and studio furniture?
Yes. Our décor department and carpentry workshop design and produce set designs, environments and custom furniture for all types of studios – from a talk show seating area to a complete stage in an event venue or a purpose-built kitchen for a cooking production.
Can you deliver a high-resolution LED screen or LED wall for the studio?
Yes. Our video department delivers high-resolution LED screens and LED walls for studios – with preview monitors, video mixers and media servers to drive background material, presentations and motion graphics. We handle all signal infrastructure from cameras to broadcast equipment.
Can you produce custom furniture and set designs in the carpentry workshop?
Yes. Our carpentry workshop produces custom backdrop walls, studio furniture, bespoke tables and other joinery details for studios. Our print department complements with floor vinyl wraps, wall vinyl and cut-out logos. Everything is produced to millimetre-precise drawings based on the studio environment's requirements.
Can your staff operate a permanent studio?
Yes. EDGE's technicians can assist with operating a permanent studio – either on a recurring basis for each broadcast or as needed. We can also train the client's own technicians in operating the installed equipment, depending on what suits your production best.
