What is the difference between a digital event and a hybrid event?

A digital event is fully online – every participant joins via a streaming platform or video conferencing solution without a physical gathering space. A hybrid event combines a physical audience on site with a digital audience online at the same time. We deliver both formats and help you choose the right setup based on your goal, audience and budget.

Which streaming platform do you recommend?

It depends on the event's character and audience. For internal communication and meetings we often recommend Teams or Zoom. For external events with interactivity, exhibition stands and networking features we recommend Twebcast – a Swedish platform we have a close partnership with. We are platform-agnostic and can deliver to most platforms.

Can you deliver a digital event with live bands and artist performances?

Yes. We produce full broadcast productions for digital events with live bands, artists and entertainment at studio quality. Sound, video, set design and graphics are coordinated by EDGE's project manager and produced at the same high quality as a physical event.

Can you deliver a digital event with interactive elements like Q&A and voting?

Yes. We integrate interactive features such as live Q&A, polling, voting and chat into the digital event platform. We also help produce a moderator solution where the moderator handles the digital participants' questions live during the event.

Can you deliver a digital event to thousands of simultaneous viewers?

Yes. We have delivered digital events with tens of thousands of simultaneous viewers – including Dustin Expo Connected. We size streaming infrastructure and CDN solution based on the expected viewer count and the platform's technical requirements.

Can you produce an edited event film of the digital event?

Yes. The Content & Graphics department edits the recorded camera material into an event film for distribution after the event – with graphics, music and voiceover. We deliver in the formats and resolutions your distribution channel requires.

Can you deliver a digital event from our own premises?

Yes. Our mobile studio solutions can be established in the client's own premises – conference room, reception or a dedicated studio room. We bring all the equipment, rig a professional studio environment and strike afterwards without leaving traces in the venue.

What is your normal delivery time for a digital event?

For a standard digital event with a known platform and limited set design we typically need 2–4 weeks from confirmation to execution. For complex productions with a custom platform, animated set design and artist performances we recommend at least 6–8 weeks.

Can you produce motion graphics and content for the broadcast?

Yes. Our content and graphics department produces bumpers, jingles and intros optimised for the digital broadcast's format and platform. They help convert existing brand guides to the right file formats and resolutions, and handle post-editing and cutting of recorded camera material after the broadcast.

Can you deliver studio lighting that looks good both for the studio audience and on camera?

Yes, and it is one of the key differences from standard event lighting. Studio lighting for digital events requires the right colour temperature, soft light character and good shadow detail for the camera – while also feeling welcoming and natural for any participants in the studio. Our lighting department has the latest film and video fixtures and extensive experience balancing these requirements.
