How does Annexet differ from Avicii Arena, and when do you choose Annexet?

Annexet is the Globen area's mid-sized arena – larger and more industrial than a conference room, but more intimate and manageable than Avicii Arena's 65-metre sphere. With 2,304 sqm of concrete floor and 10 m ceiling height, Annexet is ideal for expos, conferences, galas and concert productions for 300–3,500 guests. It can be used stand-alone or as a complement to Avicii Arena for two-day or combined events.

How does rigging work in Annexet?

Annexet has a ceiling structure with rigging points, and the clear height is 10 m to the underside of the beams. No pillars obstruct the middle of the floor – only two pillars under the balcony. We always plan the rig in dialogue with the arena and with load calculations as a basis. It enables everything from large truss rigs to individual hangs.

Can you do an expo with stands in Annexet?

Yes, Annexet is an excellent expo venue. We produce NextM – the Nordics' largest marketing and tech event – here every year with up to 30+ exhibitors, a main stage and breakout stages simultaneously on the floor. We have also built custom-designed exhibition stands for individual exhibitors, such as Schibsted's 360° stand with truss towers and Astera Titan Tubes. The balcony's 710 sqm is an added advantage and can be used as extra exhibition space or a VIP zone.

Annexet

Annexet is the mid-sized arena of the Stockholm Globe City area – a dark, square black box with 2,304 sqm of concrete floor, a 10-metre ceiling height and 710 sqm of balcony and mezzanine. It is a versatile venue that can do a great deal. We have produced the Nordics' largest marketing and tech event here, built custom set designs for galas and conferences and designed exhibition stands that commanded attention in the room.

Annexet is a standalone venue with a direct connection to the Avicii Arena foyer, and via the Valhall system it connects to the rest of the Globe City area. Since the 2024 renovation, Annexet has its own entrance towards Globentorget, which makes it possible to hold events at Annexet simultaneously with events at Avicii Arena – without mixing guest flows. The neighbouring venue E4 Norra is a compact space often used for after-parties, concerts and mingling in connection with events at Annexet or Avicii Arena.

We produce NextM – the Nordics' largest marketing and tech event, organised by GroupM – at Annexet every year since 2022. With 1,600+ attendees, 60+ speakers and 30+ exhibitors, NextM requires a complex combination of trade show, conference, stage and technical infrastructure – and Annexet is the perfect venue for it.

Sound technology

Annexet has a pipe system in the ceiling and a basic sound installation, but most events require a complete additional sound solution. We deliver full-scale PA systems, line array rigs, wireless microphones, live band equipment, DJ equipment and monitor systems to suit the event's requirements. For NextM we deliver sound solutions for a main stage and several parallel breakout stages simultaneously.

Lighting technology

The dark, square character of Annexet makes it an excellent black box for set design and lighting. With 10 m of clear height and rigging points in the roof structure, we can suspend full-scale lighting rigs with moving fixtures, strobes, LED installations and ambient lighting. We have built everything from large concert-style rigs to more intimate trade show lighting with individually lit exhibition stands.

Video technology

Annexet's dark walls and neutral form make it an excellent venue for projection and LED. We deliver everything from single projectors and LED screens for conferences to full-scale stage panoramas, video walls and media server solutions for concerts and galas. For NextM we manage video solutions across all stages and the exhibitors' digital display systems.

Décor

Our décor department delivers stages, carpeting, furniture, fabrics and decorations tailored to Annexet's industrial character. This could mean a large gala stage with a multi-level platform, a themed trade show floor with custom stands, a nightclub environment – or a combination of all three within the same event. We enjoy finding creative solutions for this kind of space.

Carpentry

Our carpentry workshop has produced a broad range of custom solutions for events at Annexet – from exhibition stands and stage platforms to bespoke installations and entrance portals. For Schibsted's stand at NextM we built a 360-degree stand with a truss tower clad in ivy and Astera Titan Tubes, topped with a four-sided LED light box. This is exactly the kind of work we thrive on.

Print

The print department delivers printed banners, vinyl wraps, cut-out logos and branding for events at Annexet. With a large venue and many exhibitors and stage surfaces, print requirements are often extensive – from exterior branding and entrance wrapping to individual exhibitor vinyl wraps and floor graphics.

Content & Graphics

With multiple simultaneous stages and exhibitor screens, events like NextM place high demands on graphic coordination. Our content and graphics department produces and adapts graphic material for all screen formats and delivers run files in the correct resolution to each video technician on site.

Project management

Complex events like NextM require robust project management – coordinating parallel build streams, managing multiple suppliers and keeping all timelines aligned. We have produced NextM at Annexet since 2022 and have full command of the venue's logistics, delivery flows and critical milestones. Our project management serves as your single point of contact for the entire production.

Transport & Logistics

Loading at Annexet takes place via the dock at Globentorget and via the goods lift to Valhall. We always plan load-in and load-out in close coordination with the arena's production team to avoid bottlenecks – especially important for combined events with Avicii Arena. With our own fleet of trucks and trailers, we handle most transport from our warehouse in Sollentuna.

Concept & Visualisation

Annexet's neutral black box character makes visualisation especially important – it is difficult to imagine the end result of an event without seeing it in 3D. We always produce scaled rigging drawings and 3D visualisations showing the venue fully built out, so that everyone involved shares the same picture of the final product long before the build begins.

Pre-programming

With multiple simultaneous stages and many technical elements, pre-programming is especially valuable at Annexet. At our pre-programming studio in Sollentuna we can prepare the run for all stages in advance and connect all mixing consoles to a 3D rendering of the venue. This saves an enormous amount of time on site – and ensures we can deliver the right show from the first rehearsal.
