Google Sessions in Almedalen

Since 2016, we have helped Google, through our client Utsikt Kommunikation, establish its Google Sessions concept during Almedalen Week on Gotland.

Google Sessions is a seminar series about the impact of digitalization on current social issues where politicians, companies and organizations are invited every year for open discussions in a temporary pop-up environment at Hästgatan 1 in Almedalen, Gotland.

Our assignment consists of a complete solution where we start by installing a large kanaplast roof over the entire area (which is normally a parking lot). Then we build a stage and scenography, bars and lounge environments over the entire 500 square meter courtyard.

Last but not least, we rig a complete technical solution for presentations and panel discussions with sound, light and image. Exciting!

SoundThe sound department sets up a competent but discreet sound system, wireless microphones and sound mixing.

LightThe lighting department rigs stage lights and a lot of functional and ambient lighting in the lounge areas.

VideoThe Video department rigs presentation technology up to the stage with a screen to display presentation material, preview screens, image mixers and computers to run presentations and films.

DecorThe decoration department's mission is to furnish the entire lounge area with furniture and decor and to ensure that we have neat and stylish stage furnishings.

CarpentryFor the carpentry department, Google Sessions Almedalen is a fairly extensive project. The carpentry department is responsible for the roof solution, carpentry of the stage wall/scenography and the framing of the entrance. In addition to this, the carpentry department builds bars and specially built lounge environments.

PrintThe print department creates the branding on both the inside and outside of Google Sessions. This includes foils, cut-out logos, and printed messages on various materials.
