Avicii Arena's spherical shape creates complex acoustic conditions – sound reflects from the curved walls and ceiling in ways that differ significantly from rectangular venues. We always plan speaker placement carefully with delay towers and subwoofer configurations that counteract echo and uneven coverage. The result is great sound regardless of whether the stage is on the long side, the short side or in the middle of the arena.
The Jumbotron is a large four-sided LED screen mounted in the centre of Avicii Arena, and the LED strip runs around the underside of the B-stand. Both are the arena's own installations and are included in the venue booking. Our video department connects presentation equipment and media servers to these screens and combines them with any additional LED surfaces and projectors for a complete video solution.
Rigging in Avicii Arena's spherical ceiling is done via the technical walkway and wire system running along the equator and up to the top's technical bridge. We always work with Scandinavian Rigging Service for suspensions and include power and weight calculations in the rigging plan. Rigging costs are a function of number of lifts and line lengths – we always budget specifically for your production.
Yes, Annexet is directly adjacent to Avicii Arena and connects easily. The most common setup is to use Annexet for a conference during the day and Avicii Arena for dinner and entertainment in the evening – or the reverse, with Annexet as a nightclub after a gala in Avicii. We have produced many such combined events and know what works logistically and experientially.
As a guideline, a medium-sized corporate event with a stage, lighting rig and décor takes 1–2 days to set up and 1 day to break down. Larger productions with full rigging via the Valhall loading bay, panoramic stages and complex set designs may require 3–4 days. We always pre-programme the video and lighting sequences in our studio in advance to minimise the time required on the arena floor.
Avicii Arena's main loading facility for materials and equipment is Valhall – an underground loading and distribution hub beneath the arena. Lifts and portals sized for large productions enable efficient load-in and load-out. We always plan the Valhall flow in coordination with the arena's production team and synchronise with our logistics department for a smooth build.
We have produced trade shows (Dustin Expo), corporate events and galas (ICA Handlarnas Dag), fashion shows (Goldwell Global Zoom), concerts and staff parties. We have built stages ranging from 8×8 m under the Jumbotron to 200 sqm multi-level stage designs, nightclub environments for 300 guests, laser tunnels as venue entrances, and experience hubs framing the entire arena floor.
Avicii Arena's size means more material and more technicians than most venues – the large volumes require sound, lighting and décor to be scaled up to fill the space well. As a guideline, a well-produced arena event with a stage, lighting rig and décor starts at several hundred thousand kronor and can scale significantly for full-scale galas with ceiling rigging. We always produce a transparent quote tailored to your venue, your number of guests and your programme.
