ICA-Retailers' Day 2019
Every year, the ICA-Retailers association holds a ICA-Retailers' Day day with a conference, association meeting, dinner, party and mingling. In 2019, we were entrusted by our customer PS Occasion to deliver design and a complete technical solution for this year's edition of the event, which was arranged at Avicii Arena / Globen.Our solution consisted of a two-part piste at Globen with an exhibition and mingling area on one side and a stage for conferences and parties on the other. In the exhibition area, bars, lounges and environments were built where guests could mingle, and on the stage side, a proper stage was built with six projected image surfaces, a lighting rig with around fifty movable fixtures, and sound technology for conferences and artists such as Eric Gadd, Jill Johnsson, Linda Bengtzing and Arvingarna.
In addition to the solution in the Globen, we also delivered a complete setup in the Annex where the association meeting was first held during the day and where we then bumped into a nightclub later in the evening. Smart!

Our delivery
To this project we delivered:SoundThe sound department delivered complete sound solutions consisting of PA, sound mixing, wireless microphones, tape technology and DJ equipment for both the conference and party in Globen as well as for the general meeting and nightclub in the Annex.
LightThe lighting department delivered rigging to all departments in the Globe, ambient lighting throughout the Globe, lighting for lounge environments and stage lighting with over 50 moving fixtures. In the Annex, the lighting department delivered lighting to both the general meeting and the nightclub.
VideoThe imaging department delivered a complete imaging solution to both the Globe and the Annex. In the Globe, the imaging solution consisted of six projected image surfaces that were synchronized with the jumbotron. In the Annex, a more conventional solution was made with three screen surfaces next to each other.
DecorThe decor department delivered the stage decks, drapes, carpets, furnishings for lounges and the stage, as well as a lot of themed decor to create the right feel on site.>
CarpentryThe carpentry shop built bars and back walls for bars, furniture and standing tables from pallets, and produced the very cool ICA-Retailers' Day sign, which we first filled with fruit and vegetables and then redesigned with string lights to fit the nightclub environment.
PrintThe print department foiled bar counters and walls to give the illusion that they were made of tiles and marble instead of wood and aluminum. The print department also delivered foils and branding to entrances and surrounding areas.
