Avicii Arena / Globen - The world's second largest spherical building

The Globen, Ericsson Globe and now Avicii Arena. Dear child has many names and so does the world's second largest spherical building located in southern Stockholm. With a volume of 600,000 cubic meters and an interior ceiling height of 65 m, Avicii Arena is an event arena that both takes care of itself and has fantastic potential for holding great meetings and events.

With its 4,500 square meters, the Arena floor in Avicii Arena is a perfect area for trade fairs, conferences, concerts, dinners and parties. Or why not a combination of all five? We have held trade fairs and events in different ways across the entire arena floor and in all directions. We know what looks good and gives you the most for your budget.

Next door to Avicii Arena is the venue Annexet, a free-standing venue of 2,300 square meters with an additional 700 square meters of balcony and mezzanine. The Annex can function as part of a larger event in Avicii Arena or as an arena for a completely separate event. We have also built a variety of different solutions for conferences, dinners, parties and trade fairs in the Annex. We have also done quite a few events where the Annex has functioned as a venue for a conference before having dinner in the Avicii Arena or where, on the contrary, the Annex has been used as a nightclub.

Between Avicii Arena and the Annex is also the venue E4 Norra. A small venue that is often used for smaller trade fairs, concerts, after-parties or mingling.

Here we have divided up the services that we usually offer to customers who are going to organize events at Avicii Arena.

Sound technology

With its unique shape, Avicii Arena offers an interesting acoustic challenge to say the least. With extensive experience behind it, our sound department delivers a sound technology solution in Avicii Arena that sounds fantastic. Regardless of whether the stage is on the long side, the short side or in the middle of the room. With careful planning and the right equipment, we will prepare well and you can safely trust that we will take care of speakers and artists on stage.

Lighting technology

A large arena provides good conditions for creating large and beautiful lighting rigs. We have supplied lighting for conferences, fashion shows, concerts and corporate events and trade fairs. We have had lighting rigs with hundreds of fixtures and we have had small, discreet lighting installations for trade fair stands.

Regardless of what is needed for your event, we have experience of what works best in an arena like Avicii. Let us develop a lighting design for your project or tell us your vision and we can translate it into a detailed lighting plan that not only looks fantastic but also gets up in the air quickly and safely.

Rigging

You rarely have an event in an arena like Avicii Arena without having to hang something from the ceiling. Whether it's light rigs, speakers, LED screens or all three. When we rig technology in Avicii Arena, we do it in close collaboration with professional rigging companies like Scandinavian Rigging Service. Together we make a plan for everything that needs to be hung and make sure that it both hangs securely, but also comes up and down efficiently.

Image technology

The image department delivers image solutions adapted for an arena. Sometimes it's large projected image areas on and around a stage. Sometimes it is a double-sided LED screen that has a conference image solution on one side and a party image solution on the other. Regardless of the number of screens and direction, the image department builds a competent solution so that all guests can take part in the content that is shown. The image department also supplies presentation equipment, media servers and camera solutions for the screens.

A good thing to have with you when planning an event in Avicii Arena is the large Jumbotron that is mounted in the middle of the room. This large screen with high-resolution LED in four directions in combination with the LED strip that is located around the B-stand is a good starting point for most image solutions in the arena.

Decoration

The decoration department supplies stages, carpets, furniture, fabrics and decorations for all kinds of events in Avicii. Sometimes it is an 8x8 m stage under the Jumbotron and sometimes it is a 200 m2 multi-level stage with illuminated stairs that take the artists between the different levels.

The decoration department builds solutions regardless of whether you are going to make a traditional stage for a conference and gala dinner or if you want to build experience hubs in every corner of the arena floor.

Carpentry

The carpentry department frames our solutions in Avicii Arena with specially produced products that put the finishing touch on the solution. This can involve producing specially built stage parts on behalf of the decoration department or producing trade fair stands and display podiums according to the customer's drawings. Or why not build a massive portal outside the entrance that really makes a mark on your event?

Print

The print department produces banners, foil, cut-out logos and everything in between for our events at Avicii Arena. For example, this could involve foiling the floor in the entrance or on the welcome counter, building a foiled entrance tunnel into the arena floor or why not foil the entire staircase from the stands to the floor? Awesome!

Graphics

A good image solution is only as good as the material that is displayed. Let us help you produce specially produced graphics for screens, the jumbotron and the LED strip. Our graphic designers work closely with your team to ensure that your company's message and profile are presented correctly on the screens.

Our graphic designers have extensive experience in which formats and pixel dimensions work best for our solutions and can therefore prepare the material in a good way for our image technicians who work on site during your event.

Project management

Holding an event in an arena can feel overwhelming. There are many new questions and parameters that arise from different actors before the event and not least well on site. Our project managers are used to arena projects and have full control over all the details that need to be ensured for your event to be a success. They will help you through the process of the event so that you can calmly focus on what is important to you.

Transport & Logistics

When the day of your event has finally arrived, there is a lot that needs to happen at once. That is why it is extra important that construction and demolition flows work as they should and that materials and personnel are in the right place at the right time. Our logistics department coordinates all our deliveries with our project manager on site and ensures that we have a good flow via the loading in Valhall.

Visualization

Having a common goal is always important and perhaps especially important when doing large projects. The visualization department produces scale-based CAD and 3D visualizations that show exactly what your event will look like once it is in place. The drawings are also shared with the team from Avicii Arena during the preparatory work so that all parties work under the same conditions and everyone's needs are met. In this way, we avoid surprises on site and thus get a fast and efficient production flow.

Pre-programming

To save time on site in the arena, it can be a good idea to pre-program the running of the image and light already days or weeks before the event. In our premises in Bredden, we have the opportunity to set up the technical equipment with light tables and media servers that will be used at your event and calmly load all the films and presentations that will be used and go through everything with you. This is especially important if you want to make a synchronized intro or a time-coded light show, for example!
