Quality Hotel Strawberry Arena - O2 and Strawberry Fields

Just north of Stockholm and right next to Strawberry Arena is Quality Hotel Strawberry Arena with its large event venue Strawberry Fields and the slightly smaller venue O2 one floor up from Strawberry.

Strawberry Fields is a perfect event venue for most events with its 2000 square meters and almost eight meters of ceiling height. Add the fact that there is plenty of power, an existing technology rig and the possibility of dividing the venue into five soundproof rooms and you have a real winner. In Strawberry Fields we have held executive meetings, trade fairs, studios, dinners, parties and after-parties. It works for everything!

The floor above is the venue O2. A slightly smaller event venue than Strawberry Fields but can hardly be called small with its 400 square meters and five meters of ceiling height. O2 also has good access to power, existing technology and the ability to divide the venue into two soundproof halves.

Digital studios during the Corona pandemic

During the restrictions of the corona pandemic and the ban on events with an audience, we established two studios for digital events, Studio Ett and Studio Flex in Strawberry Fields, in collaboration with Quality Hotel Strawberry Arena. Over the course of almost two years, we conducted over 150 broadcasts from our studios and during this time we got to know these venues really well. Today we have returned to doing "regular" events at Quality Hotel Friends, but we don't think we are exaggerating when we call ourselves experts in doing events here.

Here we have broken down the services that we usually offer to customers who are going to organize events at Quality Hotel Strawberry Arena

Sound technology

In both Strawberry Fields and O2 there are existing sound systems that work perfectly well for simpler speeches and conferences and as supplementary sound to a larger facility. If you want a little more pressure in the sound for your conference or if you are going to combine the conference with dinner with entertainment, we recommend adding a larger sound system.

We have made a variety of different sound solutions in both venues and we usually supplement with a line-array system, sound mixer, wireless microphones, tape technology, DJ equipment and our own sound engineer.

Lighting technology

Strawberry Fields, with its high ceiling height and grid of ceiling beams, has good conditions for creating nice lighting. The venue also has around 50 LED fixtures already installed in the ceiling, which saves a lot of work if you want to color the entire venue for an ambient lighting setup.

Our lighting solutions in Strawberry have looked different, but we usually supplement them with stage lighting and lighting of scenographies and ambient lighting along the walls and in the entrance.

In the O2 venue, there are also quite good opportunities for rigging lights with a system of raw pipes that are in the ceiling. There is also an existing front light for the stage that can be a good thing to start from.

Image technology

Strawberry Fields also has a good foundation for image technology with projectors and projection screens mounted in all the different parts that the venue can be divided into. If you create larger scenes, you often need to add a primary display, but then you can use the existing image surfaces as support screens for the camera so that all guests can see properly.

Up in the O2, there are also two projectors and screens that address each part of the room or function as a two-screen solution when the entire room is open.

Decoration

The decoration department usually supplies stages, carpets, furniture and fabrics for events in Strawberry Fields and the O2. This can involve a large stage along the entire long side of the venue, lounges, bleachers, entrance portals or why not an entire kitchen backdrop for a TV studio?

Carpentry

The carpentry department custom-produces everything that the decor department doesn't have in the rental warehouse. It could be a detail like hard fronts for the stage or a custom-built staircase. Or something more advanced like a flying roof over the stage or over a lounge.

In both Strawberry Fields and the O2, we've done a lot of carpentry! We've built custom-built studio environments, built custom-produced walls such as stage sets, entrance portals, flying roofs and bleachers.

Print

The print department often comes in at the end of the construction and puts a personal touch on our solution. It could be banners with branding and messages from your company, logos on stages and podiums, floor foils that lead guests into the venue or why not a 3x3 m puzzle where each participant gets a personal piece that is put together to form the company's new logo?

Graphics

Regardless of whether you choose to only use the existing screen solutions or if you build a new stage with a 200 m2 high-resolution LED wall, you always need good material to display on the screens. Our graphics department produces new and adapts existing graphic material, presentations and films to fit a current screen solution.

The material is then delivered in the right format and resolution to our image technicians who run the material on site at your event.

Project management

After over 200 projects at Quality Hotel Strawberry Arena, it can be safely said that our project managers have a good grasp of the venue. They coordinate the delivery between all our departments and ensure that the right equipment and personnel are on site at exactly the right time. All to ensure that your event gets off to a good start in the best, safest and most cost-effective way possible. Before and during the actual implementation, they are your sounding board and help you make your event a success!

Transport & Logistics

The logistics department ensures that all the materials needed for your event get there and from there at exactly the right time. In close collaboration with our project managers, they create a carefully planned transport schedule to avoid bottlenecks during loading or unloading. Do you have bulky goods that you want to bring to your event? No problem. We have brought in machines, demo stations and cars to Strawberry Fields!

Visualization

Regardless of whether your event is large or small, at Strawberry Fields or O2, a common goal is always needed. We believe that this is best achieved through scale drawings and a 3D sketch of what the final product will look like. Our visualization department has good knowledge of the premises and produces rigging drawings, floor plans, 3D sketches and everything else needed to ensure that everyone involved in the event has a common vision and to ensure that everyone's needs are met. Both from your team, us and other actors such as the venue and catering.

Pre-programming

During construction and implementation, you usually work with quite small time margins and there are many elements that need to be covered during the time you have booked the venue. To save time on site and create a calmer work environment, it can be a good idea to pre-program the run before the actual event is built and run. In our premises in Bredden, we have a pre-programming studio where you, together with our technicians, can load all presentations and films and go through the flow for the run and make sure that everything is as it should be in peace and quiet.
