Three events, one rig, one shared stage solution

On behalf of Liwlig Sweden we designed and delivered the stage, audio, lighting and video for three connected events for Musikförläggarna – the Swedish Music Publishers Association – at Banankompaniet in Stockholm, 5–7 November 2025.

The solution was built as a shared setup where the same stage, rig and technology served three days in different scenographic configurations. Day 1 ran Almost Famous on the side stage in the Main Room – an evening dedicated to up-and-coming artists. Day 2 used the same side stage for the industry day with talks. On both days the main stage was hidden behind a black four-metre-tall fabric wall.

On Friday afternoon, ahead of Musikförläggarnas Pris, the fabric wall came down and the full stage solution was put to use for the gala with over 500 guests and 21 winners. Among the winners were Lisa Nilsson and Andreas Mattsson as Lyricists of the Year, Elvira Anderfjärd as Composer of the Year, and Tobias Forge with Max Grahn, Salem Al Fakir and Vincent Pontare for International Achievement of the Year. Ola Håkansson received this year's Special Award.

In the Foyer we built a separate DJ stage and two printed photo walls for the after party, which ran until midnight.

Thank you to Liwlig and Musikförläggarna for the trust to stand behind a gala that elevates the craft behind the music.

Our delivery

For this project we delivered:
  • Sound

The audio was tuned for live band, awards format and lectures alike. We delivered a PA system built for the Main Room, a separate side-stage configuration, and FOH and monitor mix positions. Eight wireless microphones and eight in-ear systems were part of the base solution, complemented by backline additions for the artists during Almost Famous and Musikförläggarnas Pris — including an Ampeg SVT bass amp with 4×10 cab and four additional in-ear systems.

The intercom solution covered seven wired and four wireless beltpacks. During the show, the production was staffed by audio technician, monitor engineer and stage technician.

In the Speak Easy room we rigged a separate background music setup with Pioneer XDJ-XZ and an iPad for playback, and in the Foyer we built a DJ rig with Nexus 2 and booth monitor for the after party.

  • Light

The stage lighting was designed to shift in character across the three events without the rig needing to be rebuilt between days. The rig was hung on twenty-one 0.5-tonne motors and consisted of three trusses for stage lighting, three trusses for ambient lighting and one front truss.

The stage rig was equipped with twelve Hybrid fixtures, twelve LED washes, eighteen LED strobes, eight LED washes and twelve LED floods, plus eight LED bars to light the trellis walls and eight profile fixtures as front lighting. Thirteen LED floods provided general lighting in the hall, complemented by haze for depth in the lighting image.

The side stage, used during Almost Famous and the industry day, had its own lighting rig with ten LED washes, twenty-four LED bars and four truss towers.

Backstage was lit by sixteen Astera Titan Tubes for a soft working environment, and ten LED bars were placed at the bars to lift the mingle areas.

In the Foyer we built the DJ stage with four upright tubes with LED bars on the front and a separate lighting desk for cue programming. At the photo walls, KL panels on stands lit the printed banners, and in the Speak Easy room's kitchen we placed four additional KL panels.

During Musikförläggarnas Pris the rig was staffed by a lighting operator and a dimmer technician.

  • Video & LED

The heart of the set design was an LED wall at the back measuring 8 × 4 metres, complemented by two IMAG screens of 2 × 4 metres and a stage right screen of 5.5 × 4 metres. Three large DSM screens served as monitoring. Everything was driven via four 4K LED processors with full signal routing and rigging.

The video mix ran from a large playout position with Aquilon C+ and Watchout server, complemented by a Resolume kit for artist graphics and fibre multi for signal distribution. The video feed was staffed by video technicians during the build, the show and the strike.

The camera production was built around a Flightpack 4K with Bing control surface, a Steadicam with wireless link, one manned studio camera on a pedestal mount and two PTZ robotic cameras — four camera sources in total. During Musikförläggarnas Pris the production was staffed by video producer, bing operator, Steadicam operator and a camera operator.

  • Decor & Set Design

The stage was built per the set design with a dark anthracite needle felt carpet from our standard assortment and two 2 × 2 metre rolling podiums at 40 cm height. To allow the Main Room to be used for two different stage formats across the week, we built a four-metre-tall black fabric wall on stands that hid the main stage during Almost Famous and the industry day — a solution that let us strike the fabric wall in a few hours ahead of Musikförläggarnas Pris without touching the set design behind it.

In the Foyer we built a 3 × 2 metre DJ stage at 60 cm height with stage skirt, carpet and a Spot It DJ podium. A carpet was also laid in front of the printed banner in the Foyer.

  • Carpentry

For the main stage we built two black trellis walls of 3 × 3.5 metres on the stage edges along with custom parts for the stage construction and hard fronts.

In the Foyer we built and mounted two support frames for printed banners with silicone-edge mounting — one for the large B10 × H2.5 m banner and one for the smaller B3 × H2.5 m banner.

  • Print

Two printed banners were produced for the Foyer – a large 10 × 2.5 metre and a smaller 3 × 2.5 metre – both from print artwork supplied by the client. Read more about print
  • Content & Graphics

Ahead of the project we produced 3D sketches in two iterations and a floor plan that formed the basis of the stage solution and the shared rigging routes across the three events. Read more about content & graphics
  • Concept & Visualisation

Ahead of production we produced 3D visualisations and floor plans that formed the basis of the set design and the shared rig. Read more about concept & visualisation
  • Project Management

Delivery and build was coordinated by our project manager Andreas "Adde" Weis. Read more about project management
