Swedish Steel Prize 2023
The Swedish Steel Prize is an international award for ideas and products in the steel industry. The prize has been awarded over 20 times and in 2023 we were entrusted by PS Occasion and SSAB to develop and deliver design and technology for this year's edition at Stockholm Waterfront. The assignment consisted of developing a comprehensive solution with design and technology for the stage inside A1, exhibition and mingling in M1, breakouts in conference rooms as well as branding and framing of entrances and other areas.
The solution in A1 was a V-shaped stage on several levels with a background of high-resolution LED wall with a pitch of 1.9mm. The LED wall was framed with physical decor and a lighting rig with fixtures from Clay Paky and our own Edgetron fixtures.
For A1 we also delivered a camera production with steadicam and a sound technical complement to the house's system with more wireless, bass, sound mixing and above all our own sound engineers.
In M1 we built an exhibition with stands, our TV columns and a large custom-built jumbotron as the centerpiece.

Our delivery
To this project we delivered:SoundThe sound department supplied a complement to the house's sound system with subwoofers, our own sound mixers, wireless microphones and, most importantly, our own sound engineers. The sound department also supplied tape technology for Isaac and The Soul Company who performed during the evening.
LightThe lighting department delivered a complement to the house's lighting rig with Clay Paky K20 and Sharpy Plus as stage lights. Reinforcement of the front light with Martin Viper Performance and our own Edgetron fixtures as part of the scenography.
VideoThe Video department delivered a high-resolution LED screen with two levels of depth that allowed speakers to enter the stage through the screen itself. The screen also came with image control with a Watchout media server, presentation technology and a complete camera production.
DecorThe decor department delivered a massive, angled, multi-level stage deck that was carpeted in a sober dark gray carpet. The stage furniture and a custom-built lectern were also delivered for the stage.
In the adjacent venue M1, the decor department also delivered carpeting and furnishings for a trade fair in connection with the event.

CarpentryThe carpentry department produced a custom-built scenography for the stage that was built together with the LED screen to give the illusion that the stage was supported by large steel beams.
For the trade fair in the neighboring M1 venue, the carpentry department also delivered trade fair walls, podiums and a custom-built three-sided sign that was hung from the ceiling as a centerpiece.
