YouTube 10 years at the Nordic Museum
When YouTube celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2015, an inspiration event was held at the Nordic Museum on Djurgården in Stockholm. Guests heard lectures from Google executives and guest speakers including VICE magazine. The stage programme was hosted by Clara Henry and featured performances from SkillTwins, Rackartygarna, Otto Knows, Erik Hassle and Little Jinder. Our assignment was to create a local interpretation of a globally developed concept, working from a stage design and a brand guide. The solution was a massive ground support truss system with water-filled ballast tanks to rig a 20 m wide and 4 m high LED wall as the backdrop for the entire stage. Audio and lighting for presentations and live artists were also delivered for the main stage.
In addition to the main stage, a smaller stage was built for artists in the other half of the venue where the after-party was held, plus set pieces allowing guests to star in classic YouTube clips themselves.
