On 9 December 2023, Nobel Prize Outreach held Nobel Week Dialogue at Svenska Mässan in Gothenburg for the second year running. The theme was The Future of Migration, featuring dialogues and panel discussions with Nobel laureates including Steven Chu, Abdulrazak Gurnah and Ardem Patapoutian. The full event was broadcast live on SVT Play in collaboration with SVT.

EDGE delivered a complete solution for the hybrid event – design and technology in the congress hall, plus décor and branding in surrounding spaces. With sustainability in focus, we reused the custom-built plywood stage from 2022, adapting it to the new venue and upgrading the image surface with an 18-metre wide projection panorama using Epson laser projectors.

One highlight was a custom-built interactive world map wall where each guest marked their route from their home city to Gothenburg – a tangible expression of the year's theme of migration.

  • Sound

    Wireless Axient microphones and in-ear systems for moderators. Technical complement for live entertainment with Diva Cruz and Dream Orchestra. Read more about sound

    Edgetron fixtures as scenic lighting in the congress hall, complementing the venue's existing lighting rig. LED bars and Astera tubes in backstage and VIP after-event spaces. Read more about light

  • Video & LED

    18-metre wide projection panorama with Epson laser projectors and curved screen. LED walls in the congress hall. Camera production with manned studio cameras and stream production for live broadcast on SVT Play. Watchout control. Read more about video & led

  • Decor & Set Design

    Reused custom-built plywood stage from 2022, adapted to the congress hall at Svenska Mässan. Dark blue stage surface, armchairs and entrance décor. Backstage and green room with make-up station and lounge furniture. Décor in foyer and surrounding areas. Read more about decor & set design

  • Carpentry

    Fine plywood columns between the LED screens on stage. Custom-built wall with interactive world map in the Global Installation area. Read more about carpentry

  • Print
